This was my first body of work that I have read from him, but immediately upon reading, I felt a sense of kinship. The introduction to the book explained my process of getting into spirituality almost to the T, and to hear it from someone else’s point of view made me feel seen and understood. Granted that everyone is not on the same path to healing and spirituality, Mayhorn invites you into his world and life through a spiritual lens with each of the thirteen steps. Each step is practical and can be applied easily. Though there were somethings that I already knew, I still walked away looking at my life and the way that I move from a different perspective. Many of the things said in this work filled in some gaps for me and allowed me essentially a fresh perspective on life. This is definitely something you are going to want to come back to as you go deeper in your spiritual journey.”
